We just got back from our trip to Vegas. It was Adriana's first big trip, first plane ride and first time in Vegas. We went to meet up with Rob's Aunt Diane, Uncle Bob, Aunt Jan and their families. All of Rob's brothers and their families came as well. Unfortunately Rob's sister Janine and her family were unable to make it and we missed having them there.
Adriana did really good on her first plane ride. She was a little fussy to start but settled in nicely. She did better than mommy. There was a lot of turbulence on the flight and I am not a fan of flying so I was a wreck but she thought it was fun and just chilled on daddy's lap through it all. We got a lot of compliments after the flight about how great she was which was nice. I always picture people being horrible to you when you get on a plane with a baby but we had great experiences both ways. They were long travel days and Adriana did really good.
We had a great time. We spent most of our days by the pool. It was extremely hot so Adriana and I had to split our time between the pool and the room but it was still fun. I thought she would not like the water because it was so cold but she loved it. Adriana's cousins, Abby, Paul, Katherine, Jack and Sofia were there so they kept her entertained. As you may or may not know, Adriana is quite the mommy's girl and she is not exactly open to having people other than Rob and I hold her, but she did great at letting everyone hold her and play with her. I was amazed.
On Saturday we were supposed to have a big picnic in the park but since it was 106 degrees we decided to do bowling instead. Adriana didn't quite like that and I ended up having her sleep on me the whole time but we still had a good time.
We kept her up late, took her to casinos and made sure she had the full Vegas experience. I think all in all she enjoyed it. I think she is already missing the sounds of the slot machines ringing in her head.
