Cheyenne Frontier Days

Last weekend we went to Cheyenne to visit some friends.  It was the first weekend of Cheyenne Frontier Days but we didn't go to any of the events.  But we were in Cheyenne and Frontier Days was going on so I am calling it her first official one.....I have a picture of her in a cowboy hat. :)  We also stopped to see Gia, who someday will be BFF with Adriana.  At first Gia was annoyed with Adriana because she kept pulling her dress but then Gia started showing Adriana all her toys and I think they hit it off.   She also got to hang out with a couple of our other friends boys, Brock and Dane.  They didn't seem to want to have much to do with each other (which was fine by Rob, he hopes she never likes boys...) but they took turns taking each others toys.  

Other than that, we started swim lessons a couple weeks ago.  Adriana loves the water...doesn't so much love when you make her do things in the water.  But she is getting it.  She loves to kick in the water so that helps, but floating on her back and going under water, no thank you.  They took some underwater pictures of us that I will post when they send them to me.   Adriana has started to sit up on her own for very short periods.  She can do it but when she realizes she is, she stops.  But I think anyday now it will start to click and she will love it.  

Good Times

This is Adriana in her exersaucer.  When she is playing in it, she will do something to make the music start.  She will then look for me and I will tell her what a good girl she is and she gets the biggest smile you have ever seen.  She is very proud of herself.  This isn't quite the smile but it is cute none the less.

4th of July

Here are some pictures from our 4th.  We had a couple friends and family over and had a good time.  We showed Adriana sparklers and daddy and his friends made some interesting original firework combinations.  There were a few times I thought we might have a fire but all worked out well.

This past weekend my niece took this picture of Adriana with her mom's phone.  It is an awesome picture.  When they are babysitting, Ally is great about sending me pictures and updates via text so I know that Adriana is doing okay.  This was one of them.

6 Months Old

If you can believe it, my baby is already 6 months old.  It seems like she has been with us for forever but time has just flown by.   I don't have any pictures this week so I put up this one.  It is one of my favorites of her when she was only a few hours old.  

Adriana had her 6 month old appointment today and it looks like everything is on track.  When we got back from Vegas last week, her and I both caught a cold (and now have passed it onto Rob).  She seems to be doing a lot better this week.  And for her first sickness, it wasn't too bad.  We have been very fortunate in that area.  

Adriana is growing fast and everyday doing more and more things.  She is almost sitting up on her own.  She just needs to get a little more balance.  She is trying hard to figure out a way to make herself move around when she is on her stomach so I don't think it will be too long before she finds out a way to get herself moving on her own.  She is pretty determined.   Her new favorites for this week are Flo Rida (he is a rap singer...she really likes his songs), Elmo and anything cold and wet, especially water bottles.
