This past week Adriana has discovered her tongue. She has entertained herself (and us) by sticking it out constantly.
Welcome to Adriana's blog! She is incredibly smart, but has not yet mastered the english language or typing. Therefore, for the next 5 years we will dictate on her behalf.

Me and Dad
Here are some pictures of Adriana with her dad. He is the fun dad that entertains and keeps her smiling. Plus they are so much alike.......most of Adriana's facial expressions mimic Rob. Some say it is hard to tell from pictures but when you see her...she is a little Rob clone. It is like he has a Mini Me. She even has a milk drunk look that mimics drunk Rob.....I am not sure how I feel about that one. I guess we will know when she is older if she tries to pull one over on us. ;)

Happy Easter
Here are some pictures from Easter. We didn't do much except make her dress up in an outfit. We spent the evening at my sister's. We love going to Holly's. There is no shortage of people to love Adriana and hold her. It is a nice break for mommy.
We went to the doctor last week and Adriana has reflux. Poor kid. I feel bad as I think this is something she might have inherited from me. We now have her on medicine and she already seems like a different child. I guess we didn't realize how much it was affecting her. She is a lot more happy and content these days. She still has her moments as you can see from the picture above. But she is just so cute when she gets mad, I had to take a picture.:)
We went to the zoo today for the first time. We met Aunt Corrina, Jack, Katherine and Sofia there. Aunt Tara and Ally (my niece) went along. We had a very good time. Ally is 10 and an AWESOME help with Adriana. She is so great at watching her and making sure she is okay. Adriana slept for the most part but it was very nice for mommy to get out of the house and get to see Corrina and co. Laura Lewis (Rob's cousin) and her 2 sons were there too so Adriana got to meet them as well. We had a good time.

Grandpa's visit
Here are some pictures of Adriana with my dad, Grandpa Jerry. He is in town visiting from Nashville. He is a great grandpa! Very proud. He is really good at walking with her and keeping her happy, which sometimes is a challenge. He also got her to sleep which is another amazing feat these days. I might make him come over at naptime every day. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Happy St Patty's Day. I didn't get to the store in time for the St Patty's Day outfit, so we had to go with just green. It is very unlike me to miss out on any sort of shopping trip, but this year I was too late! This is typically one of our favorite holidays and Rob and I are good at celebrating...but this year is quite different. No hanging out with leprechauns this year for us. But hanging out with Adriana made for a great weekend anyway.
Here are some pictures from the week. Enjoy! As you can see, Adriana is much happier when she is not confined by her clothing. Daddy is nice and lets her hang out without them, I am the mean mom that makes her wear them for warmth. More with the hippo, we just love the hippo.

Week in Pictures
Here are just some of our favorite pictures from the week. The one where she is sticking out her tongue is from my phone so the quality isn't great. She was giving me lots of smiles on Thursday so this was my attempt to capture a picture with a smile and well....I got this. The next one is Rob teaching her, well I am not sure what he was teaching her but she was very excited to move her arms like he was doing. The others are with Henrietta. That is our purple hippo that daddy bought her after she had her shots. She seems to love her. Mostly just tries to put her in her mouth.

Prelude
Welcome to the blog for Adriana Kay! We decided this would be the best way for us to keep you all up to date and let you be able to check back whenever you like instead of being bombarded with emails from us. We will do our best to keep it up to date.....Rob and I aren't exactly consistent in that area but we will do our best!
As most of you know, Adriana was born on 12/29/07 at 7:36 p.m. She was 6 lb 9 oz. She has been healthy and pretty happy in her first few months of life. She just had her 2 month doctor's visit. She is now 10 lb 8 oz and growing every day. She is sleeping through the night (and by that I mean about 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. It is wonderful for mom!) and we love that. She hates sleeping during the day and HATES her crib...we are working on that.
Last weekend we went to a dinner and silent auction for Pandas International. It was Adriana's first charity event. She did really well actually. A little fussy towards the end but for the most part she was great. You can see from the picture that we got her some panda gear...she wasn't too happy about the hat and shoes, thus the unhappy face in the picture. She did win a build a bear panda in the silent auction so that was exciting.
More to come soon.....
