Christmas baking

So this last weekend we decided to start making Christmas goodies.  That is really not an Etchepare thing to do but now that we have Adriana we seem to be doing a lot that we normally wouldn't.  Rob found a recipe for peppermint cream cheese brownies.  They were amazing.  Adriana was very helpful in the process.  As you can see we almost ended up with little fingers in the batter.   The wisk was really her favorite thing.  She was quite intrigued by it.

This week is sugar cookies.  We will see how it goes.  I bet she will love to help with the frosting.

Good times

So I am sitting at the table with Adriana for lunch today.  I am typing an email (as any good attentive mother would during lunch time) and I hear these little devilish giggles.  I look over and Ade is taking her turkey and taking a bite and then throwing it over the side of the highchair and giggling.  It is a very fun game.  Usually she just throws it over when she is done but since she is taking a bite I feel that I should just let it keep going...it is a victory in a weird sort of way. 

First Snow (that she is interested in)

So this weekend is snowed and Adriana loved it.  For those of you that don't know, she is obsessed with the outside.  She wants to go outside constantly and cries if we don't let her.  We have to do a lot of re directing.  She loves trees.  And seemed to really like the snow.

Cruisin...

In the past few weeks, Adriana has become an exceptional crawler.  She has been crawling for about a month, but suddenly she has taken off.  I can't turn my back for 5 seconds and she has made it down the hall and into our room.  She is quite efficient.  She is also pulling herself up like crazy.  We have had a lot of falls and face plants and very sad moments, but it doesn't stop her determination.   She has also learned what no means when we say it to her.  And when I say that I mean she knows she is not supposed to do whatever she is doing but then she gives me this devilish grin and goes on with whatever she shouldn't be doing.   Sometimes she just laughs at me which was cute at first....but really not so much anymore.  :)

Yum....cottage cheese

I wish she ate all food as well as she ate cottage cheese....maybe with a little less mess.
