Adriana's favorite thing to do, play in the rocks and be outside. Who could ask for more?
Welcome to Adriana's blog! She is incredibly smart, but has not yet mastered the english language or typing. Therefore, for the next 5 years we will dictate on her behalf.

Spring snow showers
So spring has sprung in Denver but not without a few big snowstorms. It was a pretty dry winter and I can't say that I was too sad about that. We got a couple huge storms this past month. These pics are from last Friday. It snowed about 15 inches at our house. It was a weird rain, snow mixture. Needless to say, Adriana loved it. It was very calm and not too cold and the snowflakes were big and coming straight down. She loved it. I wasn't too prepared for more winter and didn't quite have a snow suit for her, but we made do.
15 month check up
Adriana had her 15th month check up. It has been a while now, I have been slacking on my posts. She is doing really well. Still very tall and skinny. She is 31 inches tall, in the 74%ile and 19 lb 5 oz, in the 10%ile. We still haven't hit 20 lbs. It isn't for a lack of trying. Ade is a great eater and really eats pretty much anything you give her (unless it is a vegetable....she thinks they are yuck)
She has started talking up a storm. She is forming words and trying to make little phrases. Her favorite words are duck, dog, daddy, mommy, soup, up, sit, outside and no. We taught her to say no no to Clyde when he jumped up on her and created a monster. She loves to tell you a doggie says "wuf" and a cow says "maaa". She tries to say a lot more, for instance banana is nano, but can't quite get the words out yet. Oh, and of course she can say Elmo. I mean, he is quite possibly the most important thing in her world right now. :)
She is growing up way too fast. She is walking like crazy, running, falling and loving all the things outside. She wants to be outside from the time she gets up to the time she goes to bed. She loves to play with rocks, dirt, water, Clyde...just as long as we are outside. These spring snow storms have really made all of us a little stir crazy.
Clyde just had a check up and is growing and doing well, also. (must not forget an update on our other child) He is 19 lbs as well so now that they are pound for pound the same, I feel better about her chances when he comes at her. Actually, these days, Adriana torments Clyde much more than he does her. She loves him so much she spends her time trying to hug him and give him kisses. Dog kisses are very funny. He has to hide under the bed from time to time to get a break.
As you can see, the dishwasher is her new favorite sitting place. She loves to encourage Clyde to climb right on in with her. There is never a dull moment!
Easter

Well Easter came and went and Adriana loved it. She was spoiled and got to do an easter egg hunt in the rain in our backyard. She didn't quite understand what she was doing, but she loved that she could look for things. "Where's that?" is her favorite game. Whether it be the dog, daddy, a toy. Anything is exciting to find. Someone gave her her first chocolate egg and it was quite possibly the best thing she has eaten in, well her entire life.
We didn't get many good pictures. I loved her Easter dress but she really didn't want me to get a good shot. She doesn't believe in holding still long enough for the camera to get a picture. Oh well, here are some anyway!

Spaghetti Night
So Monday night I left Adriana and Rob to fend for themselves for dinner so Rob decided to have spaghetti night. We are in the middle of teaching Adriana how to eat with a spoon or fork (which she is rather good at but then realizes things go so much faster with your hands) so Rob took the opportunity to test it out.
When I walked back through the door I was greeted by a shirtless child and daddy. As you can see, she started off with clothes and a bib but well, those are so binding. By the end, even the plate was in the way.
It must have been a lot of fun. Not sure how much she ate, but she has a great time!

Dancing with the fishes
Hard to see but behind was the big fish/shark tank that she loved!
The jellyfish were fascinating
Hard to see but the tiger is sitting up there
Coolest fake monkey ever
So Sunday Rob and I took Adriana to the Denver Aquarium. She loved it! She was very excited over all the big fish, especially the sharks. She clapped and waved at them. She was a big fan of the tiger as well but her favorite was the diver that was in one of the tanks. They waved at each other and he tried to get her to high 5 but she wasn't quite up for that. But did not want to leave where he was at. She also loved the mechanical monkey. It was nice to get out and away. With her being sick last week and just an overall mess, then the snowstorms, we did not leave the house much. And as I so painfully learned, Adriana is not a sit and the house and hang all day kind of girl. She definitely got that from me, not Rob. :)
